Tahoe Missive 3: On the edge of the world

While hundreds of RNC delegates and thousands of protesters crawl Manhattan, the Israeli city of Beersheba recovers from bus bombings that killed 15 people, and Richmond, Va., bails itself from the damaging effects of killer storm Gaston ... I sit on the edge of the left coast, in the pristine beauty of Lake Tahoe, and wonder at it all.

I'm in California for another 13 days (although I go back to work next week - my next story is in, not coincidentally, CA's central valley). I could get used to this. Next on my rigorous vacation schedule: Hiking in Desolation Wilderness.

Housekeeping: I just updated and re-organized my links on the left. I hope they're more relevant to this little blog o'mine.
