Start Praying

The tickle that started in my throat Monday afternoon has turned into a deep chest cold, complete with body aches and pains, 100 degree temperature, rheumy cough, bleary eyes, parched throat, and froggy voice. No energy. Can't sleep for more than three hours at a time.

After I filed my stories today, I went home, ate clam chowder and buttered toast, and tried to sleep. Can't.

Running? Forget it. Running in the half-marathon in Vegas on Sunday? That's what I'm aiming for, but I don't know if that's still possible.

I'm scheduled to fly out early Friday morning. If I don't feel better by tomorrow night, I may have to wait until next year to run in Vegas.

  1. Drink lots of green tea and vitamin C. Hope you get well soon enough to make the race. But there will be lots more races if you miss it, best to take care of yourself first.
