The Road to Recovery is ... fairly short. So far.

More than 90 percent of the pain in my right foot is gone. People are surprised, as am I, at how quickly I'm recovering.

I can walk normally now, though as the day wears on, I tend to favor my right leg. That's when the pressure/pain on the bottom of my foot, at the padding near my toes, increases.

But the litmus test is: Can I run?!

I will hold off for today. Which is a shame, as it's downright balmy outside. Instead, I'll log 30 minutes on the elliptical machine. If my foot still feels pretty good, I'll do another 20 minutes on a recumbent bike.

Strapping on the feedbag: I need to do something. Over the past few days, I've been stuffing my face with pumpkin muffins, Nutella-laden croissants, and apple turnovers.

  1. I know what you mean about the feedbag. In my feedbag: multigrain wheat thins and a big container of port wine cheese spread.

  2. Feedbag is better than junk food bowl.
Somebody left me some Butterfingers and Nestle Crunch bars at work. Fortunately, I got rid of them. Unfortunately, I ate them.
