Nuptials Drama

Newsflash: The wedding is back on. The boy has apologized. And apologized. And apologized yet again. I have accepted his apologies, and we've had a couple of good, long talks.

But I have to admit, I am a bit wary of future freak-outs. I always knew that he hated anger. But, dude. He never had a meltdown like that before. Now he's back to his usual happy, gentle, and slightly neurotic self. Therapy could be good for him.

Deep breath, in. Deep breath, out.

Many, many thanks for your advice and your support, by the way.

In other news: Two caterers that gave us proposals for the reception to celebrate our getting hitched asked if we were going to use either one of them, as their dates are filling up. So we finalized the reception for October 8th, and I’ve scheduled menu tastings in the next few weeks. We were going to have the party the preceding week. But that’s the same weekend of the Army 10-Miler, which I’m planning to run.

Priorities, you know.

  1. From what I have been able to understand is this. You have a heart of gold. Don't settle for anything less. This is a great blogg. If I do say so myself, sense we have Bex in common....:--) Could you see it married and name never changes lol.

  2. Now that's better. Just keep asking questions and you'll always know he had his chance to contribute. Hopefully E will do the same and you will share being lead on the life story you write. I applaud your conviction and plan to run the Army 10-Miler.

  3. Yea! Glad you two got to work it out. Even those calm guys reach their stress limit sometimes.

And wait. You moved the reception to fit in a race? You are such a total addict. :D

  4. Hi Bex,
Glad that you both worked out your problems. Probably just a case of "cold feet". Who knows what men are thinking, I say. Communication is a two-way street, as they say. :-)
