Susie and her new hubby, D., Jeanne and I had brunch in bucolic downtown Fredericksburg, Va., about an hour south of Washington, D.C.
Actually, it took me two hours to drive because of the horrendous, bumper-to-bumper traffic for almost the entire 49-mile route. But it was worth it to see Susie and D. before E. and I go west next month to follow our fortunes.
As you can see, marriage looks good on Susie. Take a look at those gams! The golden next to her is Beau, a very energetic sweetheart who likes to sit on your feet. And that's D. in the last photo, trying to keep Beau from jumping out of the living-room window.
It's risky posing with an adorable dog. You can get upstaged sometimes.
ReplyDeleteYou three look like the good time gang. Sounds like a fun day.
so fun!
ReplyDeleteand i think the ice expresso did the trick.
:)
A lot of things look good on Susie - color me jealous.
ReplyDeleteNice shots and it sounds like a great day!
My dog's name is Bo. We chose the American spelling. He is a golden retriever too. We kept saying "Here boy" at the Seattle animal shelter, where we adopted him. Boy was quickly shortened to Bo.
ReplyDeleteYou guys were soooo sweet to drive all the way down. I loved catching up. We will definitely make a date for a race to get you back to our side of the world.
ReplyDeleteNice pics.
